Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Island Drainage & Groundwork Ltd is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support our Senior Quantity Surveyor with various commercial responsibilities. This role offers a unique opportunity to enhance your commercial experience across diverse civil engineering sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in valuations, variations, and compiling tender submissions.
• Participate in pricing and estimating activities.
• Procure materials and conduct site visits.
• Monitor project progress and manage smaller projects.
• Support the Senior Quantity Surveyor with commercial management and administrative duties.

This position provides a chance to work in a professional office environment while gaining hands-on experience in civil engineering projects.

About You:

• Previous commercial experience in civil engineering or construction.
• Hold an HNC in Construction, a Degree in Quantity Surveying, or a similar qualification.
• Full, clean driving license is essential.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and within a team.
