Job Description
Our client seeks a Claims Handler to join their team. You will play a key role
in supporting the effective management of crew-related claims for yacht-owning
clients. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organisational and
communication skills and the ability to manage claims efficiently while
maintaining accurate records and building effective relationships with
stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Processing of claims, predominantly crew
claims (personal injuries, illnesses) from yacht owning clients. Liaising with
crew, insurers and involved experts to ensure full end-to-end claims management.
Settlement of recoveries under the insurance contracts. Supervision and
monitoring of claims records, ensuring timely claim resolution. Issuance and
maintenance of claims management information for agreed stakeholders. Key Skills
& Experience: Previous experience as an insurance claims handler would be
desirable. Excellent organisational skills with ability to manage time
effectively and meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Professional and approachable manner when interacting with colleagues and
stakeholders. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and
written. Strong sense of discretion and confidentiality with understanding of
handling sensitive information. Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook,
Teams and PowerPoint. Ideally completed a degree in marine insurance and/or
