Community Health Care Assistant

As a Home Health Care Assistant, you will visit our clients in their own homes, helping with a variety of tasks from meal preparation, household chores, attending appointments and shopping, through to assisting with medication and personal care. The role of our Care Assistants enables our clients to remain independent and stay within their own homes. You can be sure to go home feeling a sense of satisfaction from the work that you do. We appreciate for people who are new to the role that it can appear daunting, that's why we offer a comprehensive induction program consisting of online training and on the job shadowing when you start. You'll be joining an experienced and dedicated team, who all enjoy their jobs and have a shared passion. We can train you to be a great Home Care Assistant, what you will need is patience, understanding and respect for our vulnerable clients. To join our team, you will need: Have a naturally caring disposition Treat all service users with dignity, respect and compassion Be comfortable supporting customers with personal care including bathing, toileting and with their personal hygiene needs Be a good listener, display empathy and have a ready smile Possess good communication skills Be dedicated, reliable and adaptable Hold a full driving license and have access to a vehicle Undergo an enhanced DBS check.
