St. Thomas' Church of England Primary School is looking for a Deputy Headteacher to lead with passion, purpose, and vision. You'll bring experience in both strategic and operational leadership, with a particular focus on building an inclusive environment with aspirational learning and opportunities for all children.

This pivotal role requires a leader with a passion for quality of education, who can drive positive change, ensuring our commitment to positive relationships and improving outcomes for all our children through high-quality teaching and learning.

You must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work collaboratively with a team, contributing to the life of our school and wider school community.

Based on Meadow Campus with Scoill Vallajeelt, you will work closely with the Headteacher and the campus Leadership Team on a journey of growth and innovation. Within this role, you will also have the opportunity for dedicated release time and teaching responsibilities.

A competitive salary that increases each 12 months until you reach the salary maximum.

Subject to meeting eligibility criteria, you will be offered two pensions arrangements: the Teachers Superannuation scheme or the Isle of Man Government Defined Contribution (DC) arrangement.

If you are returning to the island and have participated in the Department’s Student Loan scheme for tuition fees, the loan will be repaid by the Department upon completion of your second year working as a teacher at one of the island’s schools. The repayment is subject to a maximum of £7,500 for a three-year degree course or £10,000 for a four-year degree course, and the requirements detailed in the Teacher Loan Cancellation Policy.

For those returning to the island after graduating from university, you will receive a refund on your national insurance contributions during the first 12 months of your employment, up to £4,400.
