Job Description

This role is a limited term appointment for 1 year from 1 September 2026.

This role is term time, which means that the gross annual salary advertised will be reduced proportionately based on the number of weeks worked during the academic year. Term time employees are contracted to work 38 weeks per year.

Please note that the full time equivalent for this position is 37 hours, so roles advertised with contracted hours less than 37 will be classed as part time. The gross annual salary advertised will be reduced based on the part time hours.

About the role

Could you support pupils to feel confident, included and engaged in their learning every day?

As an Education Support Officer at Scoill Phurt le Moirrey, you’ll work closely with teachers and the wider school team to help pupils access learning and achieve their potential. Supporting individuals and small groups, you’ll adapt activities to meet different needs, promote independence and help create a positive learning environment where all pupils can thrive.

You’ll contribute to classroom activities, deliver targeted interventions, monitor progress and provide feedback that supports learning and development. Working across the school, you’ll build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families while supporting inclusion, wellbeing and achievement. This is a varied and rewarding opportunity to be part of a collaborative school community, helping children develop confidence, skills and a love of learning.
