Job Description

Our client seeks a Fund Accountant to join their team. Role Profile: Working aspart of the fund team providing accurate and timely Net Asset Value (NAV)calculations and maintenance of the books and records for various fundstructures. Review and reconciliation of data with internal and external sourcedata and systems. Preparation of monthly control files and prompt clearance ofreview points. Preparation of expenses for payments. Documenting fund accountingevents and procedures. Provision of accurate and timely management informationand assisting with the production of accurate and timely financial statements.Review of and liaison with client, shareholder services, custodian, broker,auditor, banks, and other related parties, with regard to fulfilment of theadministration services provided. Key Responsibilities: Accurate and timelyproduction of valuations to relevant accounting standards, legislation, bestpractice and consistent with procedures. Accurate and timely NAV calculation.Internal and external distribution of NAV. Double entry accounting, generalledger maintenance and reconciliations. Investment holding, valuation and cashreconciliation. Undertaking hedging requirements. Assist the Accounts departmentwith preparation of financial statements and with external audit. Attendingboard meetings as necessary. Production of Fund Administrator's reports and anyother reports as deemed necessary Act as a point of reference on mattersrelating to the Administration, Fund Valuation and NAV to any internal orexternal critical stakeholders. Maintenance of shareholder records andcompliance with all AML requirements, as required. Review, adherence to, andupdate of all procedures. Such other ad-hoc duties as may be requested from timeto time. Key Skills and Experience: Ability to prepare NAV calculations torecognised accounting standards. Excellent attention to detail and timemanagement skills. Ability to post and reconcile general ledger systemsUnderstanding of compliance and regulatory environment for funds includingAML/CFT requirements Proven interpersonal and communication skills Provenaccounting experience with in the funds industry. Working knowledge of fundaccounting systems, preferably Paxus An understanding of Fund AdministrationServices applicable to the offshore funds industry.
