Job Description

Our client seeks an Audit and Assurance Graduate Trainee to join their team.Role Profile: Reporting to the Supervisor, the principal responsibility of theGraduate trainee is to carry out audit tasks as required by the AuditSupervisor. Key Responsibilities: Have a working knowledge of and apply theCompany audit methodology; Ensure the work performed is clearly documented andcommunicated on the audit file; Develop an awareness of other service lines; UseProaudit and CaseWare Cloud to perform audit tasks; Demonstrate workingknowledge and application of accounting standards (IFRS/ UKGAAP);Demonstratepractical awareness and application of auditing standards (ISAs). Seek anunderstanding of professional standards not previously encountered; Identifytechnical issues and seek assistance to resolve them; Meet client needs byacting with urgency, practicality and integrity; Develop good workingrelationships with relevant client personnel; Use client time efficientlywithout duplicating queries; Implement high standards of quality for serviceperformance; Seek to develop external contacts through client work and personalnetwork; Actively request direct feedback on performance from Senior orSupervisor; Participate in the firms performance management process; Completeassigned tasks and responsibilities are fulfilled in a timely and efficient way;Make Supervisor aware of deviation from budgeted work in a timely fashion. Setown targets and communicate to rest of the audit team; It is a mandatoryrequirement to operate on a daily basis within the ISO 9001 Quality ManagementSystem; Understand the requirements of the ISO 9001 Quality Management Systemand maintain a good working knowledge; and Have an awareness of how departmentalprocedures, documents and record keeping have a positive or negative effect onthe ISO 9001 Quality Management System. Be aware of audit and accountingdevelopments; Understand the firm's policies and procedures and adhere to themin daily working practice; An awareness of other service lines and identifiescross-selling opportunities; Operates effectively in a fast changingenvironment; Undertake any other tasks as required by the Audit team. Key Skillsand Experience: Be studying towards and taking exams for the ICAEW or ACCA; Holda Second class university degree; Presentation skills; PC literate, particularlywith Excel and Word.
