Job Description
About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and resourceful person to manage and lead the Planning and Building Control Directorate's customer and technical support team.
This role involves:
- Helping to drive continuous improvement in the efficiency of processes and the service provided to our customers.
- Supporting the delivery and use of data management systems and on-line platform.
- Managing around 10 team members, and providing support to the Director and Heads of Development Management and Building Control.
- Working closely with the DEFA Corporate Services team to ensure compliance with legislation and processes (including data protection and financial requirements).
- Supporting the Directorate in the determination of planning and building control applications and investigation of enforcement complaints, and working closely with the Cabinet Office Planning Appeals team.
You will:
- Be genuinely invested in providing good customer service, making the best use of technology and motivating team members.
- Be technically competent including being able to oversee, maintain and interrogate data management systems.
