As Headteacher of Braddan Primary School, you will provide strategic leadership for a vibrant and inclusive learning community, building on the school's strengths and shaping a culture in which children, staff and families can flourish. Working closely with pupils, colleagues, parents and governors, you will create a shared sense of purpose centred on high expectations, strong relationships and excellent outcomes for every child.

You will lead the continued development of the school, ensuring that high-quality teaching and learning remain at the heart of everything you do. A competitive salary that increases each 12 months until you reach the salary maximum.

Subject to meeting eligibility criteria, you will be offered two pensions arrangements: the Teachers Superannuation scheme or the Isle of Man Government Defined Contribution (DC) arrangement.

If you are returning to the island and have participated in the Department’s Student Loan scheme for tuition fees, the loan will be repaid by the Department upon completion of your second year working as a teacher at one of the island’s schools. The repayment is subject to a maximum of £7,500 for a three-year degree course or £10,000 for a four-year degree course, and the requirements detailed in the Teacher Loan Cancellation Policy.

For those returning to the island after graduating from university, you will receive a refund on your national insurance contributions during the first 12 months of your employment, up to £4,400.

Access to the Isle of Man Public Service Cycle to Work scheme after your first year of employment.

Access to the Learning, Education and Development training facility, which is exclusively for Public Service employees, to keep on top of your continuous professional development.
