Job Description

Our client seeks an Investigator - Enforcement to join their team. Role Profile:Responsibility for contributing to the efficient progression of Enforcementcases referred to the Enforcement Division from pre-referral to the point ofclosure. Key Responsibilities: Scope investigation work. Identify andparticipate in the collection and analysis of evidence including draftingdocument requests, conducting recorded interviews with witnesses/subjects,analysis of financial/ transactional data as required. Draft case relateddocuments including information requests, public statements, internal andexternal case related correspondence. Work with team members to prepare for andconclude settlement discussions. Work with team members to prepare and progresscases through inquiry and/or any litigation which may arise. Communicate withrelevant case stakeholders including management, supervision, internal andexternal legal counsel, consultants and case subject(s) etc, to ensure timelyand appropriate response to both written and oral communications. Exerciseexcellent judgment in the identification of matters arising during theinvestigation process to ensure that the appropriate matters are escalatedproperly and that risks are identified and mitigated. Ensure compliance withinternal procedures, governance and decision-making protocols. Undertake linemanagement as assigned for more junior team members and act as mentor toassigned junior staff ensuring their progression in line with documentedtraining and development plans. Set an example to staff to develop and maintaina positive and professional culture within the Authority. Undertake such otherad hoc duties as assigned in furtherance of the Divisional Plan and infulfilment of broader divisional functions, providing assistance to othermembers of the Division as and when required. Key Skills and Responsibilities:Essential. Hold, or be willing to work towards, a relevant professionalqualification in one of the following fields - investigative practice, risk,compliance, law, accounting or AML/CFT related. Evidence of ContinuingProfessional Development. Evidence of strong relevant regulatory/industrypractical experience in the fields of regulatory enforcement, compliance, risk,audit and/or forensic accounting. Highly analytical, able to interpret largevolumes of complex information quickly and accurately and the ability to makelogical and timely decisions, cutting through complexity, seeing the big pictureand making appropriate recommendations. Ability to work under pressure, manage aworkload of varied complexity, balance competing priorities and deliver againstdeadlines. Take a thorough and methodical approach to work, demonstrating astrong attention to detail. Demonstrates effective interpersonal, verbal andwritten communication skills, with an ability to clearly and conciselyarticulate self and respond constructively to challenge. Ability to build andmaintain working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders atall levels including the ability to influence and negotiate. Ability todemonstrate strong management skills. A high degree of self - awareness andpeople skills.
