About the Role

The Isle of Man Appointments Commission is an independent body seeking applications for the position of Lay Member of the Legal Aid Committee. The Committee is responsible for setting the strategic direction of legal aid services, overseeing administration and helping to ensure access to justice is delivered fairly, transparently and effectively.

This public appointment would suit individuals with strong judgement, analytical skills and a commitment to public service. The Committee benefits from members with diverse backgrounds who can contribute independent perspectives to policy development and decision-making.

The appointment is for a three-year term, with meetings typically held monthly in Douglas.
