About the role

Could you help shape education policy and legislation that supports learners, schools and services across the Island?

Working as part of a professional and supportive team, you’ll contribute to the Department’s legislative and policy programme, helping progress a wide range of projects and initiatives. From researching legislation and policy developments in other jurisdictions to supporting the development of primary and secondary legislation, you’ll play an important role in work that influences education services across the Isle of Man.

You’ll work closely with colleagues across DESC and key stakeholders, supporting consultations, coordinating policy activity and representing the Department on British-Irish Council matters relating to Early Years and Minority Languages. The role offers exposure to a broad range of subject areas, providing excellent opportunities to develop knowledge, skills and experience.

This is a varied and engaging opportunity where strong research, communication and organisational skills will support work at both operational and strategic levels.
