Job Description

Our client seeks a Regulatory Compliance Officer to join their team Key Responsibilities: Compiling data, preparation and submission of regulatory reports. Management and collation of reportable events. Management of regulatory administration as required by the Gaming Licences. Keeping abreast of regulatory requirements and assisting with their internal implementation and monitoring. Assisting in the drafting of policies and procedures. Supervising of any junior members within the team. Regular review of policies and procedures to ensure they remain up to date and recommendation of any amendments. The collection and compilation of data for internal reports. Assisting with external and internal audits. Liaising with senior management on projects and taking the lead on investigations relating to regulatory issues. Performing compliance reviews (e.g. websites, landing pages, banners, promotions terms and conditions, email templates) to ensure compliance with all applicable legislative requirements. Working with the relevant departments to ensure all new releases are in line with requirements. Maintaining and updating relevant registers in connection with the legislative requirements of the company as a licensed gaming operator. Key Skills and Experience: Minimum 5 GCSEs to include Maths and English at grade C or above. A recognised AML or compliance qualification would be advantageous although full training will be provided. Experience of Compliance within a previous role and a working knowledge of standard best practices within a Compliance environment. E-gaming experience would be a distinct advantage within this role, however not essential. Interpretation and application of legislation and relevant industry standards. The ability to analyse complex data and strong organisational skills are essential in order to prioritise workload and ensure all deadlines are met. An understanding of the importance of Governance and compliance, in terms of policy and management practices. An understanding of AML and CFT related legislation. Familiarity of the legislation issued by the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission, the United Kingdom Gambling Commission and Jersey Gambling Commission legislation and standards issued by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA). Working knowledge of these areas would be an advantage. A broad understanding of the gambling market as a whole and the current challenges facing the industry. Innovative and strategic thinking. Well-developed presentation and communication skills. Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Sound interpersonal and negotiation skills.
