Job Description

Our client seeks a Senior Fund Accountant to join their team Role Profile: Responsibility for the production and delivery of accounting and related financial services to a designated portfolio. Key Responsibilities: Generally, to act as an ambassador for the Company in all dealings with clients and other business partners. Assume responsibility for the delivery of financial reporting and financial management services to the Portfolio. To proactively assist clients in their financial management. Support Portfolio clients in transactions, e.g. capital raising, acquisitions & disposals. Ensuring the processes, controls, systems, and day-to-day operations relating to the Portfolio are effectively performed. To carry out accounting functions including financial statements preparation, records and returns and collation of related information of clients in the Portfolio. Ensuring all local and overseas tax and regulatory requirements are adhered to. Managing the financial management function of clients in the Portfolio (to the extent that they are outsourced) including liaising with local and global stakeholders e.g. auditors, client directors etc. Providing analysis and support for the management of client companies investments as appropriate. Providing coaching and mentoring of assistant accountants. Supporting clients in the fulfilment of their financial and corporate regulatory obligations. Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards Key Skills and Qualifications. Minimum ACCA, ACA qualified or Equivalent. Good people skills: motivated, enthusiastic, hardworking, personable, capable of working independently, yet as part of a team. Flexible, adaptable individual that always looks for new ways of working and enjoys being part of a growing, ever-changing environment. Strong communication skills, written and verbal; ability to present in a professional manner to client Boards and other stakeholders. Experience and detailed understanding of financial control environment. Experience of public company reporting, including consolidations. Experience of fund accounting, including valuations. Working knowledge of applicable accounting standards, in particular IFRS. Strong Excel skills and ability to work with different accounting packages.
