Job Description
Our team works with some of the largest remote gambling operators in the world
to ensure they run efficiently and compliantly, reducing corporate risk, and
protecting players in the process. Over the course of a decade, we have
developed a dominant market position in key jurisdictions by developing,
maturing, and growing in parallel with the market. As we continue to expand and
develop our offering and client base, we are seeking an experienced accountant
to join our accounting team in Amber Gaming to support us in continually
delivering and exceeding our excellent service levels. About the Role: We are
looking for a qualified and experienced Accountant to join our vibrant team. You
will be involved in overseeing a portfolio of licensed and unlicensed entities
within the Gaming, IP & digital technologies industries across a range of
jurisdictions. You will have the opportunity to: Maintain financial ledgers from
source documents provided by the client or client manager. Compile statutory
financial statements for a variety of entity types across multiple
jurisdictions. Liaise with auditors and manage the audit process. Assist with
the preparation of cash flow projections and solvency checks. Prepare management
accounts for quarterly board meetings and present to the board. Prepare monthly
gambling duty returns, quarterly regulatory return submissions, and assist with
the review of VAT returns for your portfolio of clients. Analyse accounting
problems, organise assigned work and assist with the development of effective
working methods. Raise and resolve queries with clients and client relationship
managers. Attend client meetings as and when required, to advise on accounting
matters. Provide support to your accounting team colleagues. About You: You will
ideally be a Chartered or Certified Accountant and have at least three years
relevant accounting experience in a corporate service provider or similar
environment. You will have strong knowledge of principles, methods and
procedures used in modern accounting and the ideal candidate will be ACA / ACCA
Qualified (or equivalent) with experience of preparing client accounts.
Knowledge and awareness of the e-gaming landscape would be advantageous, though
not essential for the role. As you will use various accounting packages and
software, strong computer literacy is essential. The following attributes would
be advantageous: Confident in the preparation of financial statements under
FRS102 (IFRS experience would be advantageous). Experience of working on NavOne,
Xero cloud accounting package, and CCH accounts production software would be an
advantage. Ability to apply knowledge and experience to resolve complex
accounting queries and design suitable accounting systems for a varied portfolio
of clients. Amenable to working at bookkeeping level due to transactional and
complex nature of gambling structures. Experience of working within a busy
accounting environment. Excellent organisation skills and high attention to
detail. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work
on own initiative and manage workloads in accordance with relevant deadlines. A
flexible approach to workflow management and adaptable to change. An interest in
improving existing processes and contributing towards growing the business. The
