Job Description

Our client seeks an Audit and Assurance Assistant Manager Role Profile:Reporting to the Audit Manager, the principal responsibility of the AuditAssistant Manager is to take full responsibility for establishing audit strategyand effectively and efficiently planning audit projects, assisting the AuditManager with the planning of all stages of large audit assignments, supervisethe assignment of duties and the training of audit personnel. KeyResponsibilities: Demonstrates a thorough knowledge and application of auditingand accounting standards; Ensure audits run to budget and review points areadequately cleared; Actively listens to determine client needs and clearlycommunicates these to the Audit Manager; Actively enhance existing relationshipswith new clients and seek to discuss wider business issues in order to identifytheir needs; Responsible for personnel scheduling compliance with due dates,monitoring time budget, fee quotations, billing and collection; Review auditfiles to ensure sufficient, appropriate audit evidence has been gathered tosubstantiate the audit opinion and the financial statements to ensure that theycomply with the relevant GAAP, regulations and legislation. Resolve any auditissues prior to the submission of the financial statements for the final partnerreview; Implementation and review of internal control procedures; Enhance thefirm's reputation through quality client service and generally assistingpartners with practice development and practice management; Responsible for theon the job training of your audit team; Support the team when a client fails todeliver Give feedback to team members on a timely basis; Debrief at the end ofan audit; Responsible for planning, on site audit work, office-based audit work,accounting work, preparation of financial statements, reviewing work prepared byteam members, control; Liaise with business tax colleagues to ensure timelycompletion of current and deferred tax provision figures for inclusion inclients' financial statements; Develop an awareness of the firm's billingprocedures, including charge out rates, budgeting and calculation of recoveryrates; Manage performance targets; Agree and set internal service levelagreements and ensure professional management standards are adhered to at alltimes; Ensure staffing levels are met and managed; Train and provide assistanceto all team members; It is a mandatory requirement to operate on a daily basiswithin the ISO 9001 Quality Management System; Understand the requirements ofthe ISO 9001 Quality Management System and maintain a good working knowledge;and Have an awareness of how departmental procedures, documents and recordkeeping have a positive or negative effect on the ISO 9001 Quality ManagementSystem. Key Skills and Experience: Have an appropriate accountancyqualification, such as ACA or ACCA; Have at least 5 years' experience in anaudit environment; Relationship management and interpersonal skills; Projectmanagement; Presentation skills; Problem solving, and decision making PCliterate, particularly with Excel and Word.
