Job Description

Our client seeks a Credit Analyst to join their team Role Profile: You willsupport Structured Finance Credit Team and wider Structured Finance Team inonboarding and monitoring its Structured Finance Portfolio by assessing andanalysing key financial and credit Information to ensure it is within the Bankscredit appetite. Assess new Structured Finance Credit proposals and makerecommendations based on financial and non-financial performance. The job holderwill also assess key covenants (concentration, financial & customer loanperformance) and make recommendations. Assess and monitor existing StructuredFinance customers in-life, including monitoring of the key covenants, financialand non-financial, and overall performance covenants, review trends and be ableto make recommendations. Assisting UK direct lending, with underwriting brokerintroduced commercial loan, HP, and lease proposals where required. KeyResponsibilities: Evaluate a customers credit data and financial statements inorder to determine the degree of risk involved in lending to them. Preparingreports and assessments based upon the credit worthiness and risk of acounterparty. Evaluating financial status of customers by producing financialratios To analyse audited accounts, management information, forecast cashflow,budget planners and open banking data. Assess loan book trends and makerecommendations to improve the credit risks to the Bank based on the Bank'sappetite and underlying strategy. Monitor financial and non-financial covenantsset for customers and provide information on any non-compliance to the Head ofStructured Finance Credit, Head of Structured Finance or Head of Credit andUnderwriting. To review and approve Structured Finance clients onboarding anddrawdown requests. To build and maintain flexible working relationships withinternal and external stakeholders. To assess and approve broker introducedcredit proposals within your delegated authority and make credit recommendationsto the Credit Committee where required. Provide recommendations tied to analysisand assessment of credit risk. Keep up to date with the Groups lendingprotocols. Reconcile credit files and identify discrepancies and variances.Promote the Groups culture and values. Develop and prepare spreadsheets andmodels to support analysis of new and existing customers. Understand and complywith internal policies to all credit related policies. To adhere to servicelevels. Key Skills & experience: Experience in sanctioning credit facilitieswithin banking or asset finance industries. Have a finance and accounting degreelevel qualification or equivalent. Ability to undertake detailed analysis ofcredit applications utilising financial statements, cashflow, credit referenceagency searches, searches of company registries etc. Understand the relevant UK& IOM Regulatory requirements relating to the provision of credit facilities inthese jurisdictions. Proven experience working in an analytical / credit rolewithin the financial services industry. Understand the relevant UK Regulatoryrequirements relating to the provision of credit facilities in thesejurisdictions including KYC processes.
