Health Care Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Health Care Assistant to join our dedicated team at Ellan Vannin Home. In this vital role, you will provide essential support to the residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with daily activities: bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility to promote independence and dignity.
• Support the implementation of personalized care plans tailored to each individual’s needs.
• Monitor health conditions and report any changes to senior staff promptly.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care, including updates to care plans and incident reports.
• Communicate effectively with residents, family members, and team members.
• Follow health and safety protocols diligently.

Skills:

• Preferred experience in a care home or home care environment (training provided).
• Ability to understand and accurately follow care plans.
• Strong English communication skills for effective interaction.
• Basic IT skills for maintaining electronic records.
• Compassionate attitude with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Good organizational skills to manage responsibilities efficiently.
