Lawyer

Our client seeks a Lawyer to join their team. Role Profile: The overall purpose of the role is to work as part of the Legal Advisory team principally delivering international private client and international corporate commercial services. This will involve working directly with partners in Legal Advisory based in the Isle of Man and elsewhere, working with various associates in Europe and South Africa and working closely with the Fiduciary team in the Isle of Man office. Teams that they will work with may vary for different matters. In addition, the individual will from time to time be required to work with and understand the businesses of the other divisions within the Group. Key Responsibilities: Implementation of international corporate transactions and restructurings for private and corporate clients. Structuring and implementation of offshore structures. Tax, trust and estate planning for High Net Worth families. Private wealth and multi-family office legal assistance. Providing legal advice and assistance to the family office fiduciary teams. Risk Management. Implementing and maintaining controls relevant to the position. Key Skills and Experience: Be an Isle of Man, UK or South African qualified lawyer with at least two to three years relevant post qualification experience, preferably in the areas of private client, corporate commercial or personal or corporate tax. Qualifications in other jurisdictions will be considered. Degree or Equivalent. Experience showing an ability to understand legal concepts and to draft, and enthusiasm for the role offered is more important than specific experience; Be prepared to make a commitment to a legal career in one or more of the practice areas and to live in the Isle of Man; Have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team; Have an ability to prioritise and plan a challenging workload; Have excellent client relationship skills and an international outlook; Have a systematic work method with high attention to detail; Have a high level of proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
