Job Description
Sapphire Care are seeking a part-time cook to join our friendly team to preparehome cooked meals for our residents. Duties and Responsibilities Adhering toHealth and Safety guidelines regarding the use of equipment, handling hot itemsetc. Preparing and cooking meals for the residents in the home With our HeadCook, planning and delivering a 4-week seasonal menu, ensuring resident choice /dietary needs are met: Including but not exhaustive to incorporate Medicalconditions (such as diabetes), Allergen avoidance, Preference, Choke hazard.Providing stock order requests to the Manager / Managing Director to facilitatemonthly ordering requirements. Ensuring stock received is accurate to thatordered and to expected condition. Stock rotation to minimise wastage, ensuringfood use by dates, correct storage of food items is adhered to. Providinginformation to residents and or their representatives regarding the menucomposition Ensuring that the resident’s needs and wishes are met Working withother health and social care professionals to provide holistic care Recordingand reporting essential information such as food serving temperatures, cleaningundertaken etc. Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen and store room to meetrequirements of Better Food Better Business food diary Giving feedback to theManagement team Supporting residents in the dining room to eat and drink ifrequired, e.g. ensuring food is presented well, the resident has the correctutensils to eat their meals.
